New Anime September 2016

With the start of September we have moved into a new season for anime. We are now in Autum (Fall). Where I live however it is now Spring. Thus I have learnt that the anime season is opposite my season. Well without further delay here is what we have to look forward to this month:


Yasamura Yasashi no Yasashii Sekai


  • Release Date: 2 September
  • Episodes: 17
  • Episode length: 30s

A warm hearted and gentle man named Yasashi Yasamura spreads warmth and kindness wherever he goes.



  • Genre: Comedy, Kids, Sci-Fi
  • Release Date: 18 September

Nejigajima is a screw-shaped island country.  Hebotto and the Yurui Prince Nejiru are “Bokyabots” and they go arround collecting different “Bokya Neji” screws. When they wear the screws on their heads, they are able to compete in “Bokya Battles,” battles for who can think up and tell the best jokes.

“Nyanbo,” is a cat version of the “Danbo” cardboard robot character within Kiyohiko Azuma’s Yotsuba&! manga.


Koe no Katachi


  • Genre: Drama, Romance, School, Shounen
  • Release Date: 17 September

A boy who can hear, Shoya Ishida, and a transfer student who can’t, Shoko Nishimiya. One fateful day, the two meet, and Shoya leads the class in bullying Shoko. But before long, the class shifts its target from Shoko to Shoya. Years later, Shoya feels strongly that he must see Shoko once again.

Kuroko no Basuke Winter Cup Soushuu-hen: Kage to Hikari

First of three films compiling the Winter Cup episodes from the television anime.

Planetarian: Hoshi no Hito


  • Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi

Film adaptation of a side story of the Planetarian visual novel.

Yowamushi Pedal: Spare Bike


  • Genre: Comedy, Drama, Shounen, Sports
  • Release Date: 9 September
  • Rating: PG-13 – Teens 13 or older

The anime will focus on Yūsuke Makishima and on Jinpachi Tōdō. Makishima’s story will detail how he joined the Sōhoku bicycle racing club as a first year and met scorn from his seniors because of his strange style of dancing. Tōdō’s story will reveal how he first got into road racing in his second year of middle school, when a friend challenged him to a race but he initially refused because he wanted to avoid helmet hair. These are the recollections of a group of men who bet everything on their bicycles. The central pillars of their respective teams, the third years.

Ajin Part 3: Shougeki


  • Genre: Adventure, Horror, Mystery, Seinen, Supernatural
  • Release Date: 23 September

17 years ago, immortals first appeared on the battlefields of Africa. Later, rare, unknown new immortal lifeforms began appearing among humans, and they became known as “Ajin” (demi-humans). Just before summer vacation, a Japanese high school student is instantly killed in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a price is placed on his head. Thus begins a boy’s life on the run from all of humankind.

The third movie in the trilogy.

Digimon Adventure tri. 3: Kokuhaku

In a shocking turn of events, Meikūmon terminates Leomon, and vanishes into the distorted abyss. When did he get infected in the first place?” Koshirō agonizes about whether there is some kind of countermeasure they can take in this unaimaginably grim situation. However, when he can’t find anything useful, he goes to Meiko to try and gain more information. Having lost all emotion, Meiko is unable to answer. Koshirō quarrantines Agumon and the other Digimon in the office so that the infection can’t spread any further, but Patamon starts to show signs of the illness…

The story focuses on the 16-year-old Protagonist after he is transferred to Shujin High School in Tokyo. Staying with friends of his parents, he meets up with two fellow students, problem child Ryuuji Sakamoto and withdrawn An Takamaki, and a talking, shape-shifting cat-like creature known as Morgana. During his time there, feeling suppressed by their environment, the four form a group known as the “Phantom Thieves,” working together to carry out heists and encountering mysterious phenomena along the way.

Mahoutsukai no Yome: Hoshi Matsu Hito

This is a 3 part OVA  taking place before Chise meets the Magus. Chise Hatori has lived a life full of neglect and abuse, devoid of anything resembling love. Far from the warmth of family, she has had her share of troubles and pitfalls. Just when all hope seems lost, a fateful encounter awaits her. When a man with the head of a beast, wielding strange powers, obtains her through a slave auction, Chise’s life will never be the same again.

Diamond no Ace: Second Season OVA

Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo (Shinsaku)

30 minutes of new chibi anime short series footage bundled with the novel series’ 11th volume. The new anime will feature the appearance of the Pleiades combat maids, as well as the rest of the Floor Guardians.

  1. Got excited for a second when I saw Kuroko’s Basketball… but I realized that a only a compilation of the Winter Cup. .. I really want to see the Vorpal Sword Arc on TV. And I need to get my hand on the Joker Games blue ray box set..
